2-7-9 AC20 New Build - Low Volume

This is my newest build, basically an AC30 preamp with a MOSFET cathode follower into a pair of cathode bias 6V6GTs. It also has a DPDT to switch between fender and vox style tone stacks, meaning the location of the mid resistor, not the location of the tonestack, which remains cathode follower driven in both settings.

Here's a little bit of blues noodling over a backing track. Just a little hair to the tone, mostly clean. I really like the touch sensitvity of the 5E3 circuit.

Recorded with a Shure Beta 57 about 8" from the speaker (EV SRO 12). Using my home built tele style on the neck pickup (Fralin blues special). This amp is great fun. Rob.

This is my amp made from Z_Stingray's 5E3 pcb.
Cascaded first tube and pretty much a Vox Night Train circuit. More info here.
This clip is with a Celestion G12L-35. There is no added reverb or anything.
The first few seconds is some clean noodling with P90s in "bright" mode then "thick" mode with a humbucker.
